Every item answers to its own code
Give each item and each variant a SKU and a short scan code. Search by either at the till, or scan the code with the camera, and the right item comes up.
Scan Item Code
Use the camera or enter the code manually.
- Wall putty 20 kg Rs 1,185.00
- Paint roller 9 in Rs 275.00
- Wood screws, box of 100 Rs 190.00
In short
Every item has a SKU, generated if you leave it blank, and a scan code of 4 to 6 digits, with one more for each variant. Codes are unique within your business and are matched by the POS search, the camera scan and purchase order entry.
The problem it solves
Two staff calling the same item by two names means two search results, or none. A short code that belongs to exactly one item ends the guessing.
