Coupons with rules, not just codes

A coupon can be a percentage, a fixed amount or buy N get M, for everything or for chosen items or categories, with a minimum order, a cap, dates and usage limits. The same code works at the till and at your online checkout.

In short

Coupons are discount codes with a type (Percentage, Fixed Amount or Buy N Get M), a scope, dates, a minimum order and usage limits. A coupon is applied from the POS, the order editor or the storefront checkout, one per order, and Discount Usage shows every order that used one.

The problem it solves

A festival code shared on social media gets used twice by the same customer, on a Rs 200 order, three days after the offer ended, and nobody can tell until the month is over.

How it works

4 steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Create the coupon

Choose a code or generate one, the discount type and what it applies to.

  2. 2

    Set the limits

Start and expiry, Maximum Total Uses, Uses Per Customer, Minimum Order Amount and Maximum Discount Amount.

  3. 3

    Apply it

At the POS, open Add note or coupon and enter the Coupon code; online, the customer enters it at checkout.

  4. 4

    Check the usage

Discount Usage lists each order, customer and amount discounted.
