Totals that show their working
The sale shows Total incl. taxes up front, and one tap opens the Subtotal, each tax by name and rate, and any coupon discount. The same sum is checked again on the server before the sale is saved.

In short
The POS shows Total incl. taxes, and expands to the Subtotal, one row per tax such as VAT (13%), and a Coupon discount when a coupon applies. Each tax can be inclusive or exclusive and is worked out line by line, rounded to two decimals.
The problem it solves
A total nobody can take apart is a total nobody trusts. When a customer asks why the bill is what it is, the cashier should not need a calculator to answer.
How it works
4 steps, start to finish
-
1
Give items their taxes
Each item carries the taxes that apply to it, set in the item form.
-
2
Ring up the sale
The total updates with every line, quantity and coupon.
-
3
Open the breakdown
Tap Total incl. taxes to see the Subtotal, each tax and any Coupon discount.
-
4
Print or share
The receipt carries the same Subtotal, Tax, Discount and Total.
In detail
What clear totals does for you
-
Every tax named
One row per tax with its rate, marked incl. when the tax is inside the price.
-
Inclusive or exclusive
An inclusive tax is taken out of the price; an exclusive tax is added on top.
-
Coupons after tax
Tax is worked out on each line first, so a coupon never lowers the tax.
-
Two decimals, every step
Each step is rounded half up to two decimals.
-
Checked twice
The server repeats the same sum before the sale is saved.
-
Yes. Set the tax's mode to Inclusive and the tax is taken out of the price instead of added on top. The total row says incl. next to it.
-
Yes. Each tax on the item gets its own row in the breakdown.
-
No. Tax is worked out on each line before the coupon is taken off, and the total never goes below zero.
