In short
Print Layouts lays out receipts, kitchen tickets and the master KOT as a stack of blocks, previewed on 58 mm or 80 mm thermal paper exactly as they print.
The problem it solves
Thermal printers are narrow and fixed-width. A layout drawn freely on a canvas never comes out the same on a 58 mm roll, so receipts end up cramped or cut off.
How it works
4 steps, start to finish
-
1
Pick the document
Receipt, kitchen ticket (KOT) or master KOT.
-
2
Arrange the blocks
Drag blocks up and down; each block has its own options.
-
3
Preview on your paper
Switch between 58 mm and 80 mm and see the slip as it will print.
-
4
Save
The next receipt or ticket prints with the new layout.
In detail
What print designer does for you
-
A stack, not a canvas
Blocks reorder but never float, which is what keeps them true on thermal paper.
-
Three documents
Receipts, KOTs and the master KOT each get their own layout.
-
58 mm or 80 mm
Preview the slip at either paper width.
-
Live preview
The slip redraws as you change the order or the options.
-
No. Print Layouts is for thermal slips. Paged invoices for PDF and email are designed in the invoice designer.
-
A thermal printer prints lines of fixed-width characters. A stack of blocks maps onto that exactly, so what you preview is what prints.
-
58 mm and 80 mm.
Works together with
- Lay out the paged invoice once; merge tags fill in each sale for PDF or email.
- Pair a bridge device, and a print that fails says so instead of vanishing.
- Each ticket routes to the station that cooks it and cannot go missing quietly.
- Print scan code labels for one item or a selection, on a roll or A4 sheets of 24 or 40.
