Every ticket reaches the station that cooks it
When an order is sent, its lines split into kitchen order tickets by station. Add a dish later and an ADD-ON chit follows; cut one and the kitchen gets a replacement that says which chit to bin.

CompletedIn short
Kitchen order tickets (KOTs) are split by station from each item's category, so the grill, the bar and the bakery each get only their own lines. Later changes print as ADD-ON or replacement chits, and a ticket that could not print is shown on the KOT board instead of disappearing.
The problem it solves
One paper ticket for the whole order means the barista reads past the momo and the cook reads past the lassi. Worse, a ticket that silently fails to print is a dish nobody makes.
How it works
4 steps, start to finish
-
1
Set up stations
Create a station such as Grill or Bar, pick the item categories it cooks and the people it notifies, and optionally pin its printer.
-
2
Send the order
Placing the order splits its lines into one KOT per station, numbered by day.
-
3
Change it later
New lines print as an ADD-ON chit. A reduced or cancelled line prints a replacement that names the chit it cancels.
-
4
Work the KOT board
Filter Pending, Acknowledged or Completed tickets, then Mark completed, Cancel or Move to table.
In detail
What kitchen tickets does for you
-
Routed by category
A station takes the categories you pick, subcategories included, so a new dish under Grill routes itself.
-
Master copy
One station per outlet can print the master copy: the whole order, grouped by kitchen.
-
Chips that explain
NEW, ADD-ON, SUPERSEDED and VOID chips tell the kitchen what each ticket means.
-
Print trail
Each ticket's Activity shows Printed, Print failed or Not auto-printed with the reason.
-
Missed while offline
When printing comes back, a banner counts the tickets that were missed, with Reprint all.
-
Per outlet
Stations can be scoped to an outlet; a ticket is completed by the outlet whose kitchen makes it.
-
Each station lists the item categories it handles. When an order is sent, every line goes to the station that covers its category.
-
Only the new lines are sent, as an ADD-ON ticket to the right station. Nothing already cooking is printed twice.
-
The ticket is not lost. The KOT board shows Print failed or Not auto-printed on it, and a banner offers Reprint all once printing is back.
-
No. Cancelling a ticket tells the kitchen to stop; the bill is changed on the order itself.
