The table is part of the sale, not a note on it
Pick the table from Choose Table while you build the bill. The table stays occupied while the order is open, and Release table frees it for the next party, even when the bill is not settled yet.

In short
At the POS, Choose Table puts the sale on a table, and that table shows as occupied while its order is open. Release table frees the table; if the bill is still unpaid, it goes to credit for the customer instead of being lost.
The problem it solves
In a busy café the table and the bill drift apart. A table stays blocked by an order nobody closed, or a regular walks out owing money and the balance leaves with the table.
How it works
4 steps, start to finish
-
1
Choose Table
Open Choose Table from the sale and search by table name or code, or add a table on the spot with Add Table.
-
2
Build the order
Items, notes and quantities go on the sale as usual; the table now shows as occupied.
-
3
Come back to it
Tap an occupied table and the POS offers Open order, so the next round lands on the same bill.
-
4
Release table
When the party leaves, Release table frees it. An unpaid balance goes to credit for that customer.
In detail
What table seating does for you
-
Search tables
Find a table by its name or code in the Choose Table sheet.
-
Occupied means occupied
Picking a table that already has an open order shows who is on it, with Open order and Release table.
-
Regulars at two tables
When a customer has open orders at several tables, the POS lists them so you resume the right one.
-
Release to credit
An unpaid bill stays due and shows in receivables. Nothing is written off.
-
Add Table
Create a missing table from the picker itself, without leaving the sale.
-
While an order on it is still open. Once the order is completed, or the table is released, it is free again.
-
The release dialog names the unpaid amount and the button reads Release to credit. The order keeps its items and stays due in receivables until it is collected.
-
The POS warns that the table is occupied and offers Open order or Release table first, so two parties never share one bill by accident.
-
It is for any business that serves people at a place once tables are turned on: café tables, a hotel restaurant or a bar counter.
Works together with
- Start new order, Transfer to, Merge into and Release table on the plan.
- Each ticket routes to the station that cooks it and cannot go missing quietly.
- Each line carries its quantity, variant and a note for the kitchen or packer.
- Take part of the bill now; the order stays open with the rest due later.
- Who owes you and whom you owe, with a Party Statement for each.
