Everyone sees the part of the business they run

Give each person one or more roles, such as Cashier, Outlet Manager or Accountant. The sidebar and every screen follow what those roles allow, and you can withhold a single permission from one person.

In short

Roles decide what each member of a business can see and do: a role carries a set of capabilities, and the sidebar only shows the sections those capabilities cover. Owners assign roles from Manage Users and can customise permissions for one person without changing the role.

The problem it solves

When everyone logs in as the owner, the new cashier can see the profit report and anyone can issue a refund. Making separate logins by hand for each job is how access drifts out of date.

How it works

4 steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Open Manage Users

Every member of the business is listed with the roles they hold.

  2. 2

    Assign Roles

Pick one or more roles and use View capabilities to see what each includes.

  3. 3

    Adjust one person

Customize permissions lets you uncheck a permission to revoke it for this user only.

  4. 4

    Or copy a colleague

Copy access from another member gives a new person the same roles as someone doing the same job.
