Clock in only from where the work is

Staff tap Clock In Now on their phone. The clock in is checked against the office location and radius, your allowed WiFi networks or the person's registered device, and says exactly why when it cannot be verified.

In short

Clock In / Out records a shift start and end from the employee's phone or browser, and verifies each clock in against a GPS radius around the office, an allowed WiFi network or the employee's registered device. If none passes, it explains the reason, such as being outside the clock in radius.

The problem it solves

A register at the door can be signed by a friend, and a clock in app that accepts any location lets people start their shift from the bus.

How it works

4 steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Set the rules

In Attendance Settings, set the office location and GPS Radius (meters), and add your Allowed WiFi Networks.

  2. 2

    Staff clock in

They open Clock In / Out, tap Get GPS Location if needed, and press Clock In Now.

  3. 3

    It is verified

The clock in passes when the location is inside the radius, the WiFi is allowed or the device is one of theirs.

  4. 4

    Clock out

Clock Out ends the shift; a manager can record a Manual Clock Out when someone forgets.

Common queries

Questions people ask

  • No. A clock in is accepted when any one of them passes: inside the GPS radius, on an allowed WiFi network, or on the person's registered device.
  • No. Web browsers cannot read the WiFi name or a MAC address, so staff choose their network or device from the list. GPS is read from the phone.
  • A message that starts Clock-in could not be verified and names the reason, for example that the location is outside the clock in radius.
