Sell it before it expires, and never after
The Expiring soon list shows what runs out in 7 or 30 days with its value at cost. Expired batches stop selling at the till the day after their date, and you write them off in one go.

In short
Expiry tracking reads the expiry date on each batch. The Inventory Dashboard's Expiring soon section groups stock into Expired, 7 days and 30 days with its value, owners get a daily summary, and a batch is sold through its expiry date and blocked at the POS from the next day.
The problem it solves
Short dated milk hides at the back of the chiller until it has gone off, and an expired packet sold by accident costs far more than the packet.
How it works
4 steps, start to finish
-
1
Receive with an expiry date
Track expiry dates on the item, and the date is asked for, or filled in from its shelf life, when stock arrives.
-
2
Watch Expiring soon
Tap Expired, 7 days or 30 days to see each lot with its stock on hand and its value.
-
3
Sell it first
The till already sells the earliest expiry first, so short dated stock goes out before fresh stock.
-
4
Write off what is left
Write off one lot, or use Write off all expired stock to clear them together.
In detail
What expiry tracking does for you
-
Three windows
Expired, 7 days and 30 days, each with its units and value at cost.
-
Blocked at the till
A batch sells through its expiry date; from the next day the POS refuses it.
-
Daily summary
One Stock expiring soon notification a day, and one Stock has expired notification per lot.
-
Write off in bulk
Clear every expired lot at once; a large batch of lots is cleared in the background.
-
Checked every night
A nightly job marks lots past their date as expired, without touching your counts.
-
It can be sold through its expiry date and counts as expired from the next day.
-
No. An expired lot keeps its stock until you write it off, so the loss is recorded as an expiry write-off rather than vanishing.
-
The owner and managers, by push, email or in the app, following their notification preferences.
-
Yes. Each window shows the value at cost, and written off stock appears in the movements as Expiry write-off.
