Hear about low stock while there is still time to reorder
Give an item a minimum and a reorder level. The Inventory Dashboard badges it as it runs down, and the people who buy it get a notification the moment a sale takes it under the line.

In short
Each item can carry a minimum stock and a reorder level. The Inventory Dashboard shows it as Reorder Soon, Low Stock or Out of Stock, and when stock drops across either level the owner, managers or the category's station get a push notification, with email or SMS if they chose it.
The problem it solves
Nobody notices the oat milk is nearly gone until a customer asks for a latte and there is none. By then the supplier has closed for the day.
How it works
4 steps, start to finish
-
1
Set the levels
Give each item a minimum stock and, if you like, a reorder level a little above it.
-
2
Sell as usual
Every sale, waste entry and adjustment moves the count.
-
3
Get told when it crosses
Dropping under the reorder level sends a Reorder Level Alert; dropping under the minimum sends a Critical: Minimum Stock Alert.
-
4
Reorder from the list
Filter the dashboard by Low Stock or Needs Reorder and raise a purchase order.
In detail
What low stock alerts does for you
-
Two levels
A reorder level for an early nudge and a minimum for the urgent one.
-
Push first
Alerts arrive as a push notification; email and SMS follow each person's own preferences.
-
The right people
Alerts go to whoever covers that item's category, or to the owner and managers.
-
Filter by level
In Stock, Low Stock, Out of Stock or Needs Reorder, by category and status.
-
Once, not every sale
An alert fires when stock crosses the line, not again on every sale after it.
-
Low Stock means the count is at or under the item's minimum. Out of Stock means it is at zero or below. The dashboard counts and badges them separately.
-
The people assigned to the item category's notification station, or the owner and managers when no station covers it.
-
Push is on by default. Each person can switch on email or SMS in their notification preferences, within your plan's message allowance.
-
No. An alert is sent when stock drops across the reorder level or the minimum, not on each sale below it.
