Every number that moved, and why it moved

Inventory Movements lists each sale, purchase, adjustment, waste and recipe use with the running balance after it, who recorded it and where it came from.

In short

Inventory Movements is a ledger of every change to stock: its date and time, type, quantity, the running balance after it, unit cost, source and who recorded it. It filters by movement type, direction, source, item, category, person and date.

The problem it solves

When the count on screen is wrong, a single number cannot tell you whether it was a missed purchase, a waste entry or a sale rung up twice.

How it works

3 steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Open Inventory Movements

From the Inventory Dashboard, choose View All Movements.

  2. 2

    Narrow it down

Filter by Movement Type, Direction (stock in or out), Source, item, category, who recorded it or date.

  3. 3

    Read the balance

Each row shows the quantity and the running balance after it, so you can see exactly where a count went wrong.
